Eddie O'Gorman, OBE - Chairman and founder

Eddie O'Gorman founded the charity with his late wife Marion in memory of their two children, Paul and Jean, who tragically both died of cancer. Since then, he has devoted his life to overcoming childhood leukaemia and other cancers.

Eddie was made an Honorary Fellow of University College London in recognition of the Charity's contribution to cancer sciences in the UK.

Professor Denis Henshaw BSc, PhD - Honorary Scientific Director

Denis is Emeritus Professor of Human Radiation Effects at the University of Bristol.

He has been a scientific advisor to CHILDREN with CANCER UK for several years. He can speak about the scientific context of the conference and the research that we fund.

Caroline Blakely - Chief Executive

Caroline Blakely joined CHILDREN with CANCER UK in 2001 and became Chief Executive in 2009.

She previously ran her own HR and consultancy business for more than ten years. Caroline provides the strategic leadership for the Charity and speaks across a wide range of issues.
